I am not one of those liberal people who think the Democratic party members who hold the offices in the state of Louisiana should not be held responsible for the calamity that occurred following the hurricane, but it seems like this guy just made the White House and the Department of Homeland Security/FEMA look even more incompetent and uncaring.

Michael Brown told The New York Times that within hours of Katrina's attack on New Orleans he told the White House that Louisiana officials lacked an organized response, leading to an "out of control" situation

Doesn't this imply that the Federal Government realized a few days earlier that the state of Louisiana needed all the assistance they could get due to lacking the ability and infrastructure to prevent widespread flooding of the city and evacuate all those in need.

The White House denies that his call was urgent, which I can buy, but then that means that once again the Feds were not really following the NOA forecasts and abreast of what was going on with the storm.

I blame Stop Breathin for everything. It's obviously all his fault.
