So last night while wandering through the streets of the Lower East Side, I caught wind of a rumor that Doves were going to be playing an acoustic in-store performance at the Apple Store in Soho today. And sure enough, they performed in front of about 100 or so people. They sounded probably about as good as they could have, and the acoustics in the place were much better then I expected. It's nice when you accidently stumble across these kinds of things.

New Pornographers at the Bowery Ballroom rocked too. They did a cover version of the Cars "My Best Friend's Girlfriend" that was awesome and ended up playing most of the new album.
