Went during my lunch and while waiting in the check out line, saw a certain "out of place" shall we say thuggish white gentleman peruse by me, head to the front and grab one of those black satchel things they keep handy for people buying a bunch of shit they don't feel like carrying. Continue to check out, make my way to the front door where I bumble around another thuggish hispanic young man who seems to be just kinda hanging out. (You see where this is going, of course nothing had clicked for me as of yet).

I exit the building and notice thug #2 follows me out the door (my first Oh Shit! thought of the experience). I keep a lookout for said individual and notice as he's walking out he keeps looking back towards the door. As soon as I reach my vehicle, thug #1 comes busting through the doors with aforementioned satchel thingy now filled with stuff. They both run straight for their car, jump in and drive away, leaving me with my keys in hand outside my driver side door with the biggest WTF? face I can recall having in quite some time. Insanity.

Funny how when I think back on the whole situation, one of the first sub-conscious thoughts I had when I first noticed thug #1 was "he doesn't look like he reads too much, huh...whaddya know." Always go with your instinct.

one time chased a shoplifter in borders who were using a tinfoil-lined LP bag to load up on some DVDs. I basically chased after this one dude out to the parking lot, at which point he jumped in some giant SUV and took off, almost killing a mother and her kid at the time. Later, the cops came and when I told them I could ID the shoplifter, as well as the vehicle and driver, he was like “good, because we have them pulled over down the road. They were trying to sell the DVDs WITH THE BORDERS STICKERS STILL ON THEM for heroin money. The best part is the shit they stole:
6 collections of Buffy
3 collections of X-Files
2 King of the Hill
one copy, Eagles season highlights
4 COLLECTIONS OF FRASIER!???

Yeah, it's these moments where you look back and wish you would have reacted faster or done more. I had all of my softball stuff in the car within arms reach. Could've been fun to let an old Worth bat go through their windshield...

One time coming back late at night from a Neko Case concert I was just sitting at the bus stop when I heard a massive crash behind me. I look around and a couple of young thugs were kicking the shit out the window of a mobile phone shop.

It was pretty toughened glass, so after about 5 minutes of kicking they went off and came back a little later with some sort of concrete bollard which they used as a battering ram. Even with the big piece of concrete it still took a couple more minutes to get through the glass. Eventually they got a hole big enough to get there arm in and nicked all the phones in the window display.

The few people around, including me, were cheering them on. They showed some balls to be quite so brazen about it and they worked hard to break the window so I figured they deserved something from the nights work. The police arrived about half an hour later - quick as a flash as usual.

I was going to EB Games a few weeks ago and I walked up right after Sally's Beauty Salon was robbed.. By a middle aged man.. I'm not really sure of what he stole but I know they don't carry much money and other than about 100 dollars all that's left to steal is pink toenail polish and hair care products.

Hm.

After your revalation earlier that you are 17 I fear what your description of a middle aged man is.....since I'm literally almost twice your age ;)

All I can say is - I didn't do it

A couple years back I pulled up to the local Taco Bell drive-thru menu thingy, & before I got a chance to say anything the voice from inside said "We're being robbed...call the Police".

I got the hell outta there, went about a half block to a BBQ place, & called the cops from inside.
