Saw 'em tonight open for Her Space Holiday and they fuckin' blew the socks off the audience! Loud, energetic, contagious, danceable goodness the entire time they were onstage. Twelve songs squeezed into 45 minutes -- not bad for an opening band. Tonight was The Troubadour, tomorrow The Roxy and Tuesday night at Cinespace. G'head, check 'em out. I bet you'll find yourself dancing too.

Personal note to Dalen -- dude, too bad you don't fuckin' live near here. I know they were your flavour of the month for quite some time -- you would've had a great time!

PS -- The guys are fuckin' nice to boot. If I didn't have to work tomorrow, I'd be out with them somewhere right about now getting shitfaced with the lads.

Btw, you know you've not made it in the US when you have to sleep in sleeping bags on the floor of Dim Mak Records. The band didn't seem to care, they were just excited to be in the States and are having a grand time.

Egads...the only good thing about The Bravery's current tour is that Maximo Park is opening for them.

they played all your typical indie tracks you'd hear at a club... i only remember clap your hands say yeah "over and over again" as their opening song... but i was way drunk and we were dancing the whole time.

i have some pretty awesome pictures of them. will post when i get back into town.

Definitely a band that lends itself to a better live sound. Dug the tracks D sent me a while back, but they didn't stick. Seeing them live first may have been a different story.

Glad you had fun, Tania.
