i only listened to this once, last night, and kinda half-assed, but i didn't like it because it strayed away from the grateful dead infatuation that cold roses has.

then again, cold roses is the only ryan adams i've enjoyed since heartbreaker.

i do have to give this a couple few more listens.

i'm going to do my best to wait til it comes out 09/27.

from what i see here, it's kind of an extension of the cold roses sound, an album some like more than that one... & that is one of my fav albums of the year...

listening to it again right now.

IMO, sounds nothing like the cold roses sound. much more country country, much less grateful dead country.
