I see all of you cmj'ers over here, I came over because I was missin y'all. I can live with that, but it does strike me as a little sad if thats true. There have been can like myself or Caputo can only scrape up a handful of b-day wishes on an FT birthday post that does not bode well. I remember when an FT b-day thread would have about 20 or 30 posts in an hour. Oh well, just asking. And who does that god awful cover of Radiohead's "High and Dry" I heard when passing by a radio today ?

Might that be it?

I still go over there once or twice a day..

When I posted there, I rarely looked at the main page.. Maybe once/twice a month, cause that is when it was updated...

If anything, they are saving on bandwidth space costs... but its not like they made revenue off our posts.....

unlike Aaron here!!! He is raking in the dough... im sure he figured out a way, didnt ya?

There are indeed more birthday wishes for you here, Greg... and even an Opeth reference from yours truly.

It is sad, but times change.

Seek out your birthday thread here. I bet it got more responses than at CMJ.

i'm gonna guess the cmj folks could care less. and that's cool - if this place abruptly ends, you know we'll be back at cmj.com/bb

but yeah greg - here's the spot.

I still check daily. Sadly, it seems like only one can survive with (mostly) the same crew. I miss the people who didn't come, but if I only go there all the folks here aren't there.

Whiney, come visit at least!

Can you imagine the havoc that leon jenkins, tha midnite rida could wreak had he access to img tags and an avatar? how i miss that man, his land barge, and all the excess discussion of his licorice whip.

See, I'd never been here before today, so I don't know these things.

Jamie Collum. I almost drove my car into a tree the other day when I heard it.

Yes.

Or rather, if it's not, we're not doing our jobs properly.

I go there every day, but there's less and less to respond to.

Cullum. I don't hate it as much as I should because it's the closet Radiohead is ever gonna come to getting on the station I work at.

But that's like praising Rod Stewarts's version of "Downtown Train."

I've got Cullum's CD (station comp), listened to it maybe three times. He's pretty good at his thing, but he's taking "I'm completely off-key, but pretending it's jazz" to new heights.

I haven't found a thread to post on over there in a while...
Even though I'm not a high-flyin' Obner, I think I've actually posted over here a lot more than I ever had over there...

I'm not gonna say it's dead but, if you were to make love to it, you'd probably come away with a nasty smell and the strong possibility of being arrested.

It will come back to life eventually and no one there will have a clue who any of us are. Message board consistency is rarely more than a couple of years.

Stuff from Nov. 29th is still on page 1. and that's WITH the street teamers running unchecked.

nevertheless, i'll hang in there.
