Someone on here mentioned them back in the spring, I think. I think they're going to be remastered with a couple of bonus tracks, but I haven't heard anything since. Searches on this board only return posts written by me.

EDIT:

From a billboard.com article on Westerberg, from February this year:

Quote:
Rykodisc, which owns the rights to the band's Twin Tone releases, will reissue the Replacements first four albums in the fall, bolstered with rare bonus tracks. Rhino will give the same treatment to the group's late-period albums for Warner Bros.

The remasters of the early stuff from a couple years back were before Rykodisc got control of the albums, I think. I always heard those Twin Tone remasters were really half-assed - they made the CD's louder, but that's about it.

I think Ryko will do a really nice job with the new remasters...they usually do.

Haven't heard anything new, & I check the "official" Westerberg site once a week or so.

Sigh.

I heard about these well over a year ago. I had Tim on my shopping list for months prior to that and I've still refrained from buying because I know I'll buy the bonus track versions.

But what's the hold-up?

Ryko was sold awhile back - that may have something to do with it.

And maybe the greatest hits album they released a couple months ago hasn't sold like they were wantin' - I dunno.
