Wow, I really like most of those you listed as being "Not Even Close". Perhaps you should list more albums that you think suck for my benefit.

It's quite shocking to me that people aren't loving this album.

Oh, and RolledMeat, I take that as a compliment. ;)

Yeah, I'm kinda disappointed. I was hoping their last album was a sign of greater things to come, but that's not the case. Still, I like this more than a lot of other stuff right now.

I dunno. There's nothing that even comes close to "Sad, Sad Song", "Helicopter", "Undertaker", or his cover of "Let's Dance". I also don't like the production or arrangements as much.

Sorry Dov, but that Raveonettes album has got to be a candidate for Worst Album of the Year. And I loved their debut album.

I dig it too. There's nothing on it as insanely catchy at "Heartbreak Stroll" but I think it's a more cohesive, solid album from start to end. I love "Here Comes Mary".

I also just picked up BRMC's "Howl" and on first listen I think it's damn good. More bastardized delta blues direction and less JAMC rip off. "Ain't No Easy Way" is a boot stomping jam.

I don't get some of the reviews that are bashing for not being what they wanted it to be. I think it's the perfect record for them to make right now.

Derris, I'm with you. Howl is very good, and I thought they needed to make a direction change.

I just got this yesterday from Loogs. I think it sounds pretty cool as well. Can't wait to give it some more time.

And I still don't have any sort of list. Sorry, Chris.

It's OK if you don't have a prepared list but can you post some of your favorite albums so far? I just like to see what everyone is listening to.

As for the new BRMC, I'm quite intrigued by the new sound but I'm also being cautious. I keep seeing it at the record store but never seem eager to pick it up.
