Here's a tidbit from washingtonpost.:

"The Bush administration is seeking to appoint a lawyer with little immigration or customs experience to head the troubled law enforcement agency that handles those issues, prompting sharp criticism from some employee groups, immigration advocates and homeland security experts.

"The push to appoint Julie Myers to head the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency, part of the Department of Homeland Security, comes in the midst of intense debate over the qualifications of department political appointees involved in the sluggish response to Hurricane Katrina."

Here's the clincher:

"Her uncle is Air Force Gen. Richard B. Myers, the departing chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. She married Chertoff's current chief of staff, John F. Wood, on Saturday."

Agreed. These dudes just don't give a fuck anymore. Their mentality is if you don't like it, fuck you, we'll roll right over you.

The mid-term elections can't come soon enough. Historically that's when the cracks start to show in a two term strangehold and things start to swing the other way.

And these dudes have been bucking history since they got in in 2000. Look for a lot of Republicans from safe seats to face primary challenges, and possibly win then, but lose general elections because people are gonna be so disgusted they just stay home. I don't think I'm ever gonna vote again.

Now you're just talking crazy, man. Slow your roll.

Kinda depressing to live in a district that has NO opposition whatsoever. If a Democrat actually bothered to run, he could be lockstep with Bush on every issue. The Republican could call for nationalized medicine and then rape a fat young boy on TV.

The Republican would still win. Its that kind of district.

I hope that your dreams are haunted by the bloated, disembodied, floating noggin of Edw. M. Kennedy.

I mean, unless I switch my registration over here, why would I...especially of that fat goat fucker gets the nomination. I mean really, in GA what's the difference between Tayor and Perdue, except for Perdue hates THEM a little bit more?

Over here it would be just to vote for AG. It's not like where my registration in either place is is gonna afford me the chance to vote for anything but the most right wing of right wing scum at every other level for the rest of my life, and my presidential vote doesn't amount to shit, either.

Maybe when we run you for Overlord of Tyrone I will drum up the corpse vote, but me stepping into a ballot box, unless I need a place to jack off, why?

Plus, they snicker at me at my polling place because they know that those electronic voting machines instantly discount every other Democratic vote.

These people give real political hacks a bad name.

Someone should inform Bush you don't have to be a lawyer to be appointed to the Supreme Court. The comedic possibilities are endless.

I assume this is not about jazz trumpeter Clifford "Brownie" Brown?
