even though I am a huge Giants fan, I admit Bonds was probably juiced up for awhile - but now that he is being tested all the time...he doesn't look any smaller and his stats so far this year:

7games and 2 innings

20 AB, 4 HR, 5 RBI, 7 hits = .350 average and a crazy SLG %.

Healthy, he plays 140 games. So multiply these stats by about 20 - 80HR, 100RBI

just sayin.

How is he being tested all the time? I thought they were tested once in spring training and once during the season unless they came up positive.

i think it is at least once a year - some are selected for more than just the one time.

but however often he is being tested - i really doubt he would risk taking anything now knowing he would be a big target.

Barry has already thrown out that he will be thinner by 20-25 lbs next year "to take strain off of my knee" as a preemptive strike against the inevitable WTF that will happen when he shows up thin.

Doesnt matter much anyways; Barry (and Giambi too) do HGH (human growth hormone for the steroidically challenged) which they dont test for.....

Do you guys realize that HGH has been proven to improve VISION. Chew on that steroid apologists.

are batting averages across the league any higher today than what they've always been?

i dunno, you're a smart boy--I'm sure you can figure it out.

I know there used to not be power hitting second basemen.

Its no matter, baseball has always been a dirty sport, always will be.

ya know?

I was reading something medically on how it's highly unlikely Bonds is taking HGH

Ryno? Hornsby? More the exception than the rule, which is probably your intended point. Just sayin'...

Two Hall of Famers also.

I think he's more specifically talking about people like Brett Boone who was avg. hitter at best and then showed up looking like Randy Savage and playing in the freakin Home Run Derby.

I can't stand Bonds. I thought that whole interview where he told the media to turn the camera on themselves and to dig into their own pockets to help victims of Katrina was fucking idiotic.

I try to change the channel when he is on because life's too short for me to get my blood up over a douche like him.

I was sure you were wrong about this, but I checked and you are completely right. Prior to Ted Williams doing it for the last time about 20 guys in MLB won the batting title with averages over 400. Nice, JS.

Yeah, those old pitchers were war horses. This was way before the phenomenon of the relief specialist. So, I guess, if you knocked out the starter you could feast on some scrub instead of a Mariano Rivera.

Maybe this in a very small way accounts for those averages over .400. I don't know. You can go round and round with this stuff.

I think the Marlins have fifteen this year. If the other fifteen teams just have one each, then the league is over thirty.

Dontrelle, 7; A.J. Burnett, 4; Beckett, 2; Julio (?) Vargas, 1.

(Don't no Vargas's first name. Sorry.)

So, fourteen total. I was off by one.
