actually, your's is the first overwhelmingly positive comment i've heard about this show.

the show I went to was one of the best shows that I've ever seen. When they first went on sale I wasn't going to go mainly because of the shitty venue, and they weren't cheap. But I got a ticket from my girlfriend, and I was so happy that I went. If I knew ahead of time how great it was going to be, I'd have no problem shelling out for a ticket.

i meant last night in particular. heard lots of "man, what a horrible job the soundman did," things of that sort.

That was true for Mission of Burma. Not so much Pixies, I thought.

aside from the people who would love the show just based on the fact that the pixies were in front of them,

PIXIES ANNOUNCE BOSTON CONCERT - FINALLY!!
PIXIES are coming home to Boston. After scores of
sold-out concerts on one of the most
eagerly-anticipated and wildly successful reunions
ever, PIXIES announce that they will headline a
Boston-proper date - Thursday, December 9 at the
Avalon. Tickets go on sale this Saturday, December 6
at 12NOON at pixiesmusic.com, at Ticketmaster outlets
including ticketmaster.com, and at the Orpheum box
office (located at 1 Hamilton Place). Tickets will be
priced at $35.25, and the show will begin at 7:00PM.
This will be the first time Pixies have played a
Boston concert since they opened for U2 back in March, 1992
