The rum I bought in Belize is the best thing I have ever tasted in my entire life

Oh, yea, and spiced Captain Morgan's is my favorite.

However he can get such a thing, I salute him.

I can't stand Bacardi.

I'll stick with the Captain.

Then again, that's pretty much the only 2 rums I've tried.

it is; when we went to Jamaica last year, I pretty much swilled it like water for as long as we were there, including the flight home. A very smooth and drinkable rum, mix with club or water and a lime.....

Castillo hits the spot when you only have $6 disposable income each week. Otherwise, you're better off with anything else.

Yup, that's some good rum. The Appleton's 18 year old is even better - but a lot more expensive. Right on to everybody who mentioned Goslings as well. And for cheaper thrills, don' t count out Planter's Punch or Mount Gay.

Malibu is the best but at 42 proof it's not very strong.

Malibu was the sissy rum I spoke of. The best mixer I'e ever had with it is still Hi-C fruit punch.

Yup. Rum is my fav. I first tried the Appleton Estate when I was 18 on a trip to Jamaica. I've loved it ever since.

And yes, puma... when I need a break from the sweetness of rum I turn to vodka.... um, and/or gin.

mmmmm.... gin & tonic.

Anyone ever try rum & pinnaple juice as an alternative to rum & coke? It's yummy, (so long as it's made with real pinnaple juice and not that fake crap bars often have).

Excellent... but when I lived in the Virgin Islands, where they make Cruzan rum, my favorite was Pusser's Rum. It's the key ingredient in one of my favorite drinks The Pain Killer
