If this holds true then there can be no arguing that the SEC East just became the most brutal division in college football. At least as far as the coaches go.

Georgia- Mark Richt
Tennessee- Phillip Fulmer
South Carolina-Steve Spurrier
Florida- Urban Meyer

That's absolutely sick.

Chase you just signed up to be brutalized. Mark Richt has won 41 games in the last 4 years not to mention 2 SEC East Championships, 1 SEC Championship, A Sugar and Citrus Bowl win. If you haven't heard anything about Mark Richt then you do not pay attention to College Football.

Oh and the Big Ten is a good not great conference.

I'm saying that all of these guys are fantastic coaches and can prepare their teams like few others can. They are also fantastic recruiters as well and will all compete for the same players.

Richt is one of the best coaches in the country and is only in his fourth year. He was an assistant for Bobby Bowden for about 13-14 years and many think the offensive mind behind FSU's success in the 90's.

Fulmer is the best coach Tennessee has ever had and has won SEC championships and a Nat'l Championship under his tenure. They haven't had less than 9 wins in forever under him.

Spurrier has a tough job at South Carolina but has proven himself a genius at the college level

Time will tell with Meyer but if he's as good as advertised he should have them winning 9-10 games every year.

Just saying there's a lot of talent in that division and they are going to beat the shit out of each other.

They won it in 98" I believe or 99".

It was the year after Peyton Manning graduated and they won with Tee freakin Martin but Jamal Lewis was running back.

Yeah Heath Schuler was saved from being the biggest bust in the history of the NFL when Ryan Leaf was drafted.

Indeed it was 1998.

Oh and as a reminder Georgia rocked Wisconsin in the Outback Bowl that very same year.

Why the hell can't he call plays to get us in the endzone then?

Come on Stu you know how it is. He catches heat about that stuff but he's still winning 9-10 games for us every year. FSU finished in the Top 5 for 15 years in a row and only won 2 Nat'l Championships. Richt puts us in that position to win 10 games every year and when that magical season comes along you have to take advantage of it.

I'm Yail Bloor and i approve that throwback jersey....

Derris, you should slow your roll on that Fullmer best Tenn. coach ever---theres open Johnny Major fans that'll, well you know.......

Mark Richt is probably in the top 4th or 5th tier coaches in college football right now if you say Pete Carroll/Bob Stoops #1, and Jim Tressel/Nick Saban/ Larry Coker #2 and then guys like Richt/Meyer/etc. 3rd

Guys like Bowden, Beamer, etc. exist in their own world....

i think that that's my problem, i live in ACC country so all the passing stuff that i hear about is about those schools. i don't hear much about SEC stuff and it's pretty obvious that's where the hardcore fans are...

Saban had A good year at LSU, granted, they won the National Championship, but talk about needing to slow your roll.

Also, it is inarguable that The Great Pumpkin is a better coach than Major...now Don Neyland on the other hand...

And how is Tressel ahead of anyone? Sometimes I think you are daft Kurtz

[pointless]Meyer and Saban used to coach in the MAC, who as a mid-major conference will probably get four bowl bids this year.[/pointless]
