my grandma starts drinking at 8 in the morning. She definitely has a drinking problem, as does the biological mother. Except the difference between those two is that my grandma is hilarious when she's drunk, whereas my biological mother is a hick bitch.

Dude, it's almost 5 pm in Germany!!!

I should add I emancipated myself from my biological mother, meaning I don't live with her... thus I don't have to put up with it. and my grandma lives far away in a rural town. She's so funny though despite her problem.

So basically neither of them really affect me.

The algerian guys next to me in the brewery in Germany used to sneak fresh beers off the line, put them into their overalls, stash them behind pallets, and then chug them all for "lunch." Ha ha ha, right? LUNCH WAS AT 9:30 AM. We started at 5 or 6, and were done by 2 or 3 pm. Dudes were openly shitfaced at 10am every single weekday, and presumably earlier on weekends. And still complained that they didn't get enough free beer from the brewery (it's part of your pay there).

I wish some of my income was supplemented with beer.

Part-timers (read: foreigners) got half a liter per day, Hourlies (me) got 1 liter per day, and Salaries got 80 liters a month, all of which accrues on an employee account. The largest keg a consumer can buy is 50 liters. Everyone in town had what I'd consider a whoop-ass tap built into their houses, all recessed and framed in with nice old-growth woods, with tiles around it, everything hidden. Why not? Brewery's been there for 130 years, and isn't going anywhere.
