less all over the place than usual, musically though. well. maybe not. but this one has a bit of a "theme" i guess.

by the way, dalen. have you heard the new louise attaque album? (not that i've heard anything prior to it). it's kind of french indie pop stuff. the track on here is pretty much punk, but for some reason i think you would dig the album, if you haven't heard it. i really like it.

I like mixes that don't fade in and out from one song into the next. The exception to this rule is if its dance/ambient music.

i get about half on both sides of the fence on this.

i think im gonna finish out the year doing the mixes, but then discontinue with other mixes. although they do allow me to fit 1 or sometimes even 2 more songs onto a cd.

i mainly do it because i'm selfish and want people to listen to my mixes the way they are supposed to be listened to, from start to end.

All the ones i have already are good choices - haven't listened to that high on fire album for ages. And i hate to admit it, but i really enjoyed that Wolf Parade song this time round. But that doesnt mean im gonna listen to the album again, just that song. Maybe it's because I can hear it out of context of the rest of the not so good album

these are great

The halloween vocals on that 'roses' track are fantastic. 'Xombie' is pretty fun too. I can always go for more foreign punk, like that guerilla poubelle song and that louise attaque song. The Fall sounds well, like the fall. Hard to get too excited about yet another album by them though.

Is that Cage album worth listening to? I like that David Banner track too - I rely on boards to keep me updated on this sorta shit cos it doesn't get played on NZ radio till about 2 months later. Wait is Kano in Dynasty Crew? I dont know if it just sounds like him cos of the brit accent. Im guessing that songs on the new Run the road comp? I have the old comp, but havent heard the new one.


and these i dont really like.'Out of my mind' doesnt really do much for me one way or another - it's just sort of 'there'that balkan beat box song should be better then it really is - it has interesting elementss, but it's pretty boring as a whole. Nortec Collective sounds like shitty Herb Alpert.

But it's a pretty good mix overall. I prefer the songs not mixed together, that way i can steal them. The whole 'loud' mix idea was good, but i think i prefer your other mixes with more variety. I should have done monthly mixes like you, cos right now I already have about 80 songs to put on my end of year mix.
