I give Nutt tons of credit for beating Texas, but I would view his hiring the same way I viewed Callahan and Les Miles hire at LSU, it would have been a zero sum trade at best and possibly a step in the wrong direction.

I personally don't like Callahan and his system, but I can't stop cheering for the only thing that separates Nebraska from the Dakotas and Wyoming in most people's eyes.

BTW, I had to stop watching the Husker game for a bit, they are still leading 7-6 but look like they are heading for a loss. If that happens, I can't wait for the riot to begin.
I can't believe the Huskers can't dominate a team that our former coach beat with freaking Ohio U.

Right now I am questioning Bo Pelini alot more than Les.

Amen and Amen.

I was really hoping that Tennessee would beat Florida to put a bit more luster on next week's matchup. Now the Vols are just gonna be mad.

Yeah, I think the Grifters named a song for him.

He was a member of the Harlem Globetrotters there for a few years.

As long as we're considering mid-nineties Terrapin player facts, is Exree not also the product of an Afro-Cherokee union (one parent Indian (feather), the other black)?

Nebraska is tied 3-3 with Iowa State. Nebraska has failed to put it in the end zone on three big offensive drives. One was a missed FG from 21yds out after two dropped passes in the end zone, the latter was a failed fourth down attempt after the missed FG.
Iowa State missed a FG late in the half to make sure the tie remains.
Nebraska is 6-0 in games under Callahan after scoring first, so I hope we manage to win an ugly game over a ranked opponent.

ASU just went up 21-3 on USC with 4 minutes to go in the 2nd quarter. They're making it look easy thus far.

Nebraska won 27-20 in Double OT, They had over 400yds in passing. Cory Ross, the RB, was responsible for every TD.
ASU is now ahead 27-24.

Reliant Stadium is where the Bayou Classic between Southern and Grambling State will be played.

LSU restored some credibility today, albeit against a pitful Miss St. team.

My heart is still broken, and FT is flaming again.

I wondered as I watched part of the Southern/Alabama State game. I miss watching SWAC games.

Yes, and my flaming has spread from Charlie Weis to Brady Quinn. Best pure passer ND has EVER had (Montana included). Now, I'm NOT saying he's the best QB in ND history...yet. But if he engineers a miracle upset of USC in two weeks, the Heisman is all his.

and some dude blew himself up outside the stadium on the OU campus in the 2nd quarter

they're saying it was a suicide...but I don't think they really know for sure if it was that or a bumbling terrorist attempt

I just got back from the Orange Bowl , where my ' Canes knocked off a respectable South Florida squad ( weird that their actually located in Tampa though ) by the score of 27 - 7 . The drinking began a little early , so by the end of the game , no way was I driving home. Crashed at a friends house and drove home this morning.

When I left for the game , USC was getting beat bad. I just knew they were gonna come back. Do they have anymore tough games this year ?

UCLA almost lost to Washington today, so I don't see them beating USC. I'd say the road trips to Notre Dame and Cal are the biggest chances for a loss.
Fresno State could also pull the upset though they lost to Oregon, normally the Bulldogs play the Cinderella role real well.

Washington had that game won, damn. They had their way with UCLA for 3.5 quarters, but gave it up in the end. This is turning into a more frustrating season than last year, as I knew they weren't going to win any games last year. They have enough talent to win some of these games this year, but just keep shooting themselves in the foot.

If UCLA plays like that against USC (which they most certainly won't), they'll get smoked.

I was in the student section at the UW game and had a blast, best crowd in college football...of course it's the only one I've experienced so that may be a little biased.

Actually , the neighborhood around the Orange Bowl really isn't that bad. It's more of a Latin community than a thug land. Now , back in the old Miami Arena days , where the Miami Heat & Florida Panthers once shared , you don't want your car to not start after the events are over , which happened to me at a Kiss concert back in the early 90's. That got pretty scary waitin for a tow truck at 2 in the morning.

I can't f-ing believe how overrated we are. I guess it all depends on what happens Saturday in Knoxville. I'm nervous.
