I've never been on anything mentioned in this topic so far which is a good thing because I figured I'd been on EVERYTHING

And, Blue Milk, are you a student? Maybe what you are studying is boring as shit or you're just not interested in it. Things I like capture my attention while things I find uninteresting don't. I speak from the viewpoint of someone with ADD that has never taken medication for it. I've found ways to cope that help out somewhat.

Yes, I'm a senior in high school. And that definitely describes me (I have NO interest in anything I learn at school) but I also have a terrible time reading things that I AM interested in, even that Our Band Could Be Your Life book that is written about many of my favorite bands.

On a side note, I was up until 5 o'clock in the morning last night, unable to sleep or even come close to sleeping at all. My body was extremely weak and tired, but it seemed like my brain wouldn't shut off and let me go to sleep. I had to get up at 7 for school, and although I was tired for a few minutes, I took another pill this morning and all day I've felt like I got a really good night's rest. Maybe this stuff is a little stronger than I thought. It should wear off within a week or so though, I'm guessing.

I'd be interested to know if you are a constant worrier too?

Hmm...possibly. Can you give an example? I'd probably be able to answer more clearly then.

YES. sometimes i'll literally spend minutes reading one paragraph, but I won't notice because I'm off thinking about something else. i barely read books anymore because it takes me so long to get through just a few pages.

Azerrad does that to everyone.

Haha, I'll admit that he's not the best writer in the world. He uses so many cliches and bland descriptions that sound like they're straight out of a 9th grade term paper. Still though, I've learned a lot of things and read some interesting stories about a few of my favorite bands that I didn't know before.

blue milk-

are you on adderall or adderall XR (XR is time released, and you usually take it once a day). if you're on XR, i would suggest talking to your doctor and switching to a non-time released form, and possibly one with a lower dosage. that way you can control exactly how much you're taking, and if you don't take it past 4 or 5 PM, you should have no problems sleeping.

About the worrying.... oftentimes someone with ADD will often have anxiety, the worrying serves the ADD brain by giving it something to focus on. If you are interested on some insight and perspective on what you are probably dealing with, I recommend "Driven to Distraction".

I don't read books for the exact same reason. It's almost pointless. I do enjoy magazines, but have a hard time keeping my attention when reading long stories.

i've taken adderol quite a few times on long roadtrips driving or for pullling all-nighters to study and those long partynights with drinking (i know, i know but shhh).

if you're really sensitive to medication, i suggest you take it in low doses. half an adderol does me wonders, so usually i take just a fourth.

I've not taken any of these medications personally, but I've prescribed Adderall and Ritalin hundreds of times. I've found Strattera to be almost useless, although the risk of suicidal thoughts is minimal.

Adderall XR is the medication that I've prescribed the most for patients with ADHD, and have been pleased with the results. Certainly it can cause appetite loss and difficulty sleeping, but the benefits far outweigh the side effects for most.

don't even listen to this guy. he has no idea what he is talking about. he'll probably totally ignore the indisputable fact that adderall causes autism...

You idiot. It's them vaccines that's doing that.
