What do you lot think of it? I'm giving it the thumbs down, it starts out sounding like The Munsters TV theme and then goes downhill from there. This is the first single from their soon to be released album, First Impressions Of Earth.

...and what's the betting line that Drew Barrymore dumps Fabrizio if this release tanks???

yea, someone beat you to it

http://obner.org/bb/viewtopic.php?t=11255

it was alright, but certainly not bad...a little heavier than what I was used to from them...and Casablancas' voice sounds wierd without any effects

but I'll reserve judgement til i hear the whole album

i quite like it, especially when it's chuggin' along and then it just switches up and jerks you in another direction. a very creative and slightly more intricate sound for them.

to be honest, im not sure how many of these songs are mastered.

im not sure if im going even like the new album, so i dont want to let a pre-mastered version hurt my initial ideas....

unless this is the final version? is it?

Exclusive - The Strokes' new single leaks
'Juice Box' hits the internet months before release

The Strokes' long-awaited comeback single 'Juice Box' has leaked online.

The track, the first to be lifted from their third album 'First Impressions Of Earth', isn't officially due for release until early next year.

However, fans are swapping MP3 files of the guitar-heavy track online.

The single shows a change in direction for the band, with Julian Casablancas singing "Why won't you come over here / we've got a city to love" during the chorus.

Speaking recently to NME, Julian explained the meaning of the track. He said: "The single could be about a proper relationship, a casual friendship or whatever you want really. It's one of the more fun songs. The title just sounded like a cool word. It was originally called 'Dracula's Lunch' but in the end I just liked the sound of 'Juice Box'."

For some odd reason I'm enjoying it. I have Is This It, but Not Room on Fire.

I think it's pretty all right. I was into Is This It, bought but barely listened to Room on Fire. This single is good enough to get me to listen to more of the new album, at the very least.
