andyfest, what's so annoying about the Brit characters? They hardly have any lines.

I'm not sure what bothers me exactly. I guess I mainly just don't think Charlize Theron's character is funny and I'm not very interested in the relationship between her and Michael. So far it just hasn't been a very interesting or humorus plot line for me.

Is it just me or has the show been moving progressively faster this season? You blink and you miss a typical sitcom's length of plot. Not that it's a bad thing, it's just whoa.

Take this with a grain of salt, because it's an Internet-based "I know a guy who knows a guy" deal...but I've heard the writers know the show's days are probably numbered ( as in "it'd be a miracle if it lasts all the way thru this 3rd season" ) , so they're just going for broke.

And when you look at the facts :

~ "AD" won't be on for several weeks because of baseball, then "Prison Break" reruns

~ There's word that the show that follows it - "Kitchen Confidential" - has already been placed on hiatus

~ The ratings so far this season have been HORRID...probably worse than FOX even expected

it all adds up.

I hope VH-1 or the UPN picks it up.

AD has become the Arcade Fire of sitcoms. IE: it's not that good, it's an unfocused mess, and 140,000 people LOVE it.

Sorry, that was below the belt. But seriously, in the wasteland of tv sitcoms, is there anything you think is better than AD?

Definitely not - at least on network TV. But that doesn't necessarily mean it's good. FWIW, I thought the first year was great. The 2nd mostly great. But this year has shown a serious drop in quality.

Yes, it's still way better than typical sitcom shit like The War At Home, but I just don't see why I'd take that into account. Moldy bread would most likely taste better than cat shit, but that doesn't mean I'm gonna start using it in recipes.

Bob Loblaw is easily the funniesy name/name gag i've heard all year. I laugh everytime i hear it.

Also, was Bob's mention of "replacing" the old lawyer a reference to Chachi "replacing" the Fonz on Happy Days or is that a stretch? It's the first thing I thought of.

No, I think you hit it on the nose with that one...

i'm all sorts of worried about this because of my obsession with this show, but fox's site says new episodes are back oct 31...

aside from a few things, last night's didn't really grab me at first...but in hindsight it was pretty good.

I was going to agree with this one, until I remembered that Sword of Destiny & the main Franklin episode were post-"Motherboy"...

Still, the can't-blink factor is becoming key... I've watched it twice, and I still think I'm missing things...

Still, Buster in army...with a plastic hand...and Franklin's back...

Can't wait for the next episode...
