im gonna go with N.E.R.D. You'll be hard-pressed to find a better singer, and they aren't exactly slim in the innovation department. They could have been something good, but they aren't. It annoys me. Oh and Tori Amos, she has potential but always seems to fuck something up. That annoys me.

Michael Jackson.

Must be hard when you peak at 8 years old.

Joseph Arthur

I love him but his live shows lately seem to suck according to fans.

Seems to be bad choice of venues. wtf??

I'll say Spacehog.

I seriously think they had a OK Computer type record in them, if they werent such goof balls...

but on the other hand, if i was bangin liv tyler, music wouldnt be my number one interest anymore either....

but they were great regardless.

several years ago when a friend took me to see the" Brotherly Love" tour, cause I've always loved the Black Crowes, we were in the 7th row and during the early set, the Spacehog set, a girl walks out behind the curtain rather confused, and lo and behold, it's Liv!

She stood there for a second in front of the audience to the right and then quickly dived behind the curtain.

I like her.

I'm gonna say the band Ours. While they may be my favorite, and Jimmy Gnecco has one of the most amazing voices ever, the music behind him always seems to be too bland to capture a lot of people's attention.

I have high hopes for their third album that'll be released next year, though.

Q: Why does Michael Jackson like 28 year olds?
A: Because there are twenty of them.

This, I will agree with.

edit: actually, I pretty much agree with everything in this thread, but ya know.

no shit. He's turned into the object of his derision, Bill Cosby.

And now that Rick James is dead, he can totally do a video where he doesn't get upstaged.

I would like more music from Eddie that is in the vein of Boogie in Your Butt.

I agree... and I don't get it either. His last "performance" at the Double Door was laughable. The audience wasn't great, granted... but sheesh!

you really think he's a good singer? i don't find his singing all that impressive, unless you're into falsettos.

i'll add Longpigs to this list. their first album was great but they had probably the worst sophomore slump ever and i think they broke up shortly thereafter.

I'll say Faraquet. They had a sweet ass seven inch, but when I heard their full length it was like biting into a twinky where the cream filling is replaced with mustmayoustardayonayse. Just plain icky.

i've hung onto thier album just because of the track "cut self not". i should just rip it and throw it away.

woah!

Another JA fan in chicago? I never thought I'd see the day.

Yeah I was at the one in september and it was really good despite the tech probs. But everything I've heard about about the one a couple weeks ago, it was as if he just couldn't pull it off. But then again I also heard that the audience was a real pain in the ass(DD is often a shitty crowd and it's a real shitty venue to begin with) and he was super super pissed off and didn't even want to play.

I didn't go to that one. But saw him earlier in the day at Reckless.

Funny, you'd think the first band to be on a list like this would be The Libertines, seeing as they're about to go on "hiatus" soon....

My Bloody Valentine -- for being such perfectionists, that they never released that last album...

...or perhaps it was, '...for being such slackers...'
