My final hearing today exonerated me of those stupid little kids that said i whupped them.

The members of the hearing board apologized on behalf of CPS to me. They asked me to please continue subbing based on positive reports from principal last year, and the principals i subbed for this year who observed me.

I rawk.

Way to not beat kids, Phil.

(but seriously, congrats on beating the bum rap. beat a homeless guy in effigy if it'll make you feel better.)

She still teaches, doesn't she?

Go ahead and sub (if you want to). It's pretty unlikely that this will happen again.

She's thinking about getting out. But she says that twice a year, right before finals when all the parents call bitching about how their little kid is a bright student and a hard worker and she's a bad person because she makes them do work, turn it in on time, and then TESTS them on it. The nerve.

Then she likes it again.

She's seriously the best teacher i've ever met. Ever. And i've met a lot, but my girl is the best teacher. Now i've just got to get her to pay a little more attention to me me me.

i have no desire to hit anyone. I know some of you know i was car jacked in college, and wound up in the hospital as a hate crime survivor, and if i'm going to get physical with someone, it better be a hot chick above a certain age on a couch or a bed.

None of this batting the bunny around.

you didn't know i was car jacked? 3 car loads of skinheads.

5 fractured ribs, punctured lung, fractured tibia, fractured femur, fractured skull with mild hemmorahging, and a lovely 3 dimensional scar on the middle of my chest that numerous surgeons have told me is completely inoperable. When i get stressed out, it likes to get infected as of late.

But i'm alive, and alive is better than dead, yay me.

Teaching isn't easy, but maybe i just wasn't cut out for it.

Funny though, this incident just made me want to teach more, and educate kids that it's a big world with plenty of space. And now I'm kind of like, well, curmudgeonly, but in a benevolent-leave-me-alone kind of way.

The world is a mess, and it's not getting cleaned up anytime soon. Which is a bummer.

...but due to yesterday's events you have the choice of being a teacher. Freedom is generally a pretty good thing. Glad to hear it went well.
