i like the whole no hangover thing with pot which makes it attractive to me, especially in light of nights like last night, in which half a carton of beer was consumed in the first two post-prom hours. But then again every time i get drunk someone always ends up offering me a J, and i rarely decline.

Yea.. mine too for the same reason. Plenty of my friends lit up around me and I politely declined, but it became a badge of honor passing it up. Plus I know I'd know my personality wouldn't agree with a "gateway drug" or more likely the people hooking me up...

Alcohol is definately my drug of choice. But I like pot. I'd smoke a lot more of it if I wasn't such a loser and had more connections.

Alcohol = social situations

pot = home alone with the stereo or tv

i'd rather hang out (or live with) a pothead over an alcoholic any day of the week.

All the other drugs are better than alcohol but you have to grow up. After watching The Girl Next Door I want to do ecstasy again and have sex but…

It's undeniably a pleasant sensation but as a non-smoker I never really got into pot.

Although I used to drink alot (I'm Scottish after all) but I try to me a sensible drinker these days. Hangovers, vomiting, violence, I dunno it just doesn't appeal to me anymore.

Definitely used to indulge in herbal sessions a lot more in the past. I started smokin' out so that it would help me restore my sleep patterns at night. Problem was that when I started smokin' out socially again, all I'd wanna do is take a nap shortly after a couple of hits.

As far as Pot or Alcohol, well Pot IMO is straight up boring. Never found that it did much for me.

Pot any and every day over alcohol. I love me some bourbon, don't get me wrong, but pot's never killed anybody and you can still drive (or do whatever) high. As for a "gateway drug": bullshit. Everything's a gateway drug if you allow it to be so. It's called willpower.

I haven't experienced a significant slowdown in my reaction time as a result of weed. I'm such an uptight person normally that I hyperfocus when I drive; weed seems not to affect that so much. In fact, driving kind of kills my high. That said, it's not smart to drive under the influence of any substance, and I try to avoid it if at all possible.
