how about that--just checked the tt's site and they're back in january. looks like it's the middle east for me. i'm actually more psyched about seeing these arms are snakes--the new album has been on heavy rotation for me.

i'm going to dfa1979. i wanted to alternate between both shows but i don't think it's gonna happen since i'm kinda tired. who knows tho...i might do it. i wanted to check out tim hecker and these arms are snakes.

hey kev, have you heard or seen emetrex? they're opening at tt's tonight and i think i might check them out. i guess one of the guys used to be in wheat.

ok, middle east was sold out but dfa1979 was good. nice to see shiv there too. the songs weren't as clear as on the album but still worthy of $10. however, the dirt-stache on the bass player was lame in the "i'm trying to be cool" kind of lame. good show though. i could hear the middle east rumbling beneath us.

there were numerous injaculation jokes and the dfa show was pretty good too. the panthers sucked, you didn't miss anything chris. it was kinda funny when i saw a girl's hair get lit on fire.

oh it sold out? cool. now i feel like .1% less of a tool.

i haven't seen the wheat dude's new deal.

alas, after being out until 4 the night before, i got home from work around 7 and went to sleep. no pill, no isis, no mid east upstairs, TT's, or Cracktorch over at GS.

I *think* that Vietnam didn't make it to the show at TT's so maybe that lame band that was on first was Emetrex.

vietnam all dresses like they just watched almost famous and bought some cowboy boots to celebrate. i hate bands that play dress up. they also sound like someone tried to mix the soundtrack to the woodstock movie and noise rock, which was cool for about 2 songs and then it became apparent that that was the entire schtick. also they had one guy on stage who just covered his face with a blankie and flailed around on the ground. does that sound like what you saw?

i dunno, i really didn't get a good look at them as me and neuro ran to the other side of the bar to commence drinking.

i know they had a colorless one of these in the middle of the stage.
