I'm on the low end of that scale.

Monster Pimpin over here decided to complicate his life by buying a new truckster. GMC Envoy to be precise. The 6 disc Bose CD sound system has also prompted me to buy T.I, Jay-Z and acquire that Jeexy record, for the sole purpose of ridin dirty and bumpin out to that shee.

Can't wait til November hits and I get to start making DEM PAYMENTS.

Yes. Before I knew Wal-Mart was evil, I was so excited they had shoes in my size that I bought like US$60 worth -- sneakers, stompers, daily work, etc.

Keeping with the kitchen concept :

A couple weeks ago I ordered a Farberware Millennium skillet from Amazon. I guess these things are supposed to be great pans? We've been really happy with it so far...the price was right, too - it was on sale, & I had an Amazon gift certificate so we got the $80 pan for $15.

I only can relate to the 'I, Impoverished Thread'. Besides the occasional lunch, the last thing I bought was a one of those clothes rollers at the Dollar Store (note: Dollar Store clothes rollers do not work well).

it's smarter to put your income into a house these days (mortgage interest deduction, rising values)

plus we buy a lot of shit

Fine, fine thinking there kid.. real fine thinking.

The trick is to die *before* you are reduced to eating cat food or ending up in a state run care facility.
