a few years back, I was battling a viscious cold, but still came into work....

a co-worker of mine told me to try some of his prescription cough medicine. As sick as I was, and stupid, I took three swigs, thinking that was the bare mininum I would need to feel any better...

he didnt tell me that it was does with codeine...

so we go out to lunch, and im sitting there, and all of a sudden everything went tunnel vision on me.. frined were talking to me, and it felt liek they were 100 yars away... my head fell backwards and I passed out right htere at the table....

i came thru a few minutes later.....drenched in cold sweats......and suprisingly i was fine after that.... still sick, but over that mini-coma i went into...

moral of this story: cough medicine with codeine KICKS ASS!!!

I had a friend almost kill himself taking this stuff straight, but that hasn't stopped him from using it still. But i agree with OPA on the Pepto, good stuff.

When your nightly accomodation consists of sleeping on the backseat on a night bus, cough medicine really is your best friend.

when i was visiting south america, i got really sick on the inca trail, so i picked up some stuff that was basically the peruvian equivalent to nyquil. or, you know, horse tranquilizer- to say their over-the-counter drug regulations were lax would be an understatement.

i would take that stuff on a late night bus ride, be completely giddy for about 4 minutes, then be comatose for the rest of the night. it was awesome, i wish i had bought more to bring home.
