which would seem to confirm someones suscpicion that they are on a different island.

Or that there are at least 3 different facilities on the island.

I'm also getting sick of the superfluous flashbacks. The only characters we really need to know any more about are Jack, Locke, and maybe Kate.

so i guess i'm the only one who liked that back story, and actually wished they focused on it more?

did anybody notice the Hold Steady reference?

and is there any way to be sure they're all on the same island? And how did that many die? The sickness? The others?

I just assumed the tail group were on the other side of the wall in the hatch.

Don't get me wrong, I like Hurley, but I agree with whoever said that the two episodes that have focused on him have been kinda weak. I just feel like the last three episodes have really dragged.

And yeah, I noticed the Hold Steady reference. I also like how someone finally made fun of Drive Shaft. That episode where we got to see them perform and hear their song was probably the funniest moment on the show.

Yeah, enough with the Hurley backstories already -- except for him asking that hot record store clerk if she wanted to go with him to see The Hold Steady at The Troubadour. It was kinda cool for DJ Qualls to make an appearance, though.

I'm also kind of getting burned out on all Locke all the time. It's still a great show, but it does kind of seem like they're unneccessarily drawing things out over more episodes than is necessary. More action, less slow unraveling.

As for Invasion, it's not bad, but definitely pales in comparison to Lost. I can't friggin' stand that Jack Black wannabe who's the park ranger's brother-in-law.

Oh, by the way, for those of you agonizing over missing episodes of Lost, iTunes is now offering them for download.

yes and yes. I do like watching the Hurley story, though. He's probably my favorite character, or would be if it wasn't for him saying "dude" and "man" every 3 words.

I thought it was great, the best episode of the season so far. Hurley's episode last season ("Numbers") was also the best episode of that season. His character is the most fleshed-out (no pun intended) and I think that's for a reason (more than just that his "bad luck" may play into why the plane crashed.) Lost's biggest problem is relying on The Shocker each episode and sometimes the entertainment aspect of the show is sacrificed for that. If they could deliver more just-plain-enjoyable episodes like last night's, I'd be thrilled. I'm still hooked either way, but last night's was an extra-special one. No, we didn't learn much about what's going on, but the episode itself felt a lot more complete than any of the episodes we've seen this season.

Rumors are that a significant female character will be killed off in coming episodes. My bet's on Shannon - she's hardly been a feature this season and we know they ain't getting rid of Kate, and I can't see them killing off Claire, either, nor Rose, who really isn't a major character (yet?)

interesting. my very first thought when hurley brought rose into the hatch last night was that she was gonna end up getting killed off. not sure why...but that was just my first thought.

Ooh, good eye... I didn't catch that. I did have to rewind and watch Hurley's "dream sequence" over and over though, just because I thought it was funny.

"Dude, you speak English?"
"No... you're speaking Korean."

From what I gather, there have been 3 different Dharma symbols - the swan on in the bunker, the one on the fin of the shark (same symbol, but with just a horizontal line through the middle instead of a swan), and the one in the new bunker (i think its an arrow pointing vertically with the words "Dharma" horizontally).

10/01 - The band [Hold Steady] has been written into the script of a future episode of the hit television show "Lost", which will air sometime in October. Source: Pitchfork Media

Also, according to Spoilerfix, episode 7 is where they tell all about what's happened to the survivors who were in the tail section.

if an axe-weilding Tad Kubler jumps out of the woods to scare somebody, this will immediately become my third favorite show of all time.

so just thought of something... anybody else notice how everyone seemed to be afraid of Ana Lucia? And how she seems unnaturally strong? Remember how Ethan was freakishly strong too? And all of her group of people that were with her... didn't they all look ill and ragged? Where are the rest of the back-planers?

One of my friends watched and *thought* that the blond haired woman that opened the door for them looked like the same woman who was on the boat that took Walt??? I'd have to go back and look at it again.

Damn, that's a hell of a good catch. That didn't even cross my mind, but yeah, that makes sense. Damn, I love this show. So much detail to obsess over.

Sawyer got robbed.

Lost" actor, wife robbed at gunpoint in home

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - A cast member of the Emmy-winning TV series "Lost" and his wife were robbed at gunpoint in their Honolulu home, police and a spokeswoman for the actor said on Thursday.

A spokeswoman for actor Josh Holloway confirmed that he and his wife had been robbed.

Honolulu police declined to identify Holloway but said a couple living at his property was awakened at 4:10 a.m. local time on Wednesday by a man wearing gray-and-black shirt and baseball cap holding a handgun.

Local KHON-TV reported that the robber took cash and the keys to a Mercedes-Benz car later found in the area.

Holloway, 36, plays Sawyer on ABCs top-rated show "Lost" about survivors of a plane crash trying to survive on a mysterious, uncharted Pacific Island.

"My family and I are fine and appreciate everyone's concerns and good thoughts," the actor said in a statement. "We are very grateful for the help of the Honolulu police department and the support of the local community."

The show is shooting its second season on Hawaii's Oahu
