It's kinda silly. I'm going with Iverson though.

I dunno. Rasheed Wallace seems like one who would get busted pretty early on.

When Derrick Coleman played for the Sixers in the early/mid-90s, the coach had a dress code for trips. Coleman asked him what the fine was, and wrote a check on the spot for however many away games they had, and wore a sweatsuit everywhere.

This is just a stop gap measure cos white fans are staying away from the NBA like I stay away from the bird flu. And, it won't help, cos most of these dudes will show up in 17-button bright purple jobbie, with matching gator boots, and 24 carat diamond bling in their ears, cornrows, and Gucci shades. The only thing it will prevent is everyone from seeing their Gawdawful tats. So, I guess I'm down with it.

This reminds me of the nasty suits Michael Irvin is always pimping on ESPN.

the thought of Iverson with a tucked in shirt is pretty funny.

that line confuses me. because the dress code?

This rule is FUCKING RETARED, even for the NBA. I'd say Iverson, but he's usually pretty dapper, and i think this depends more on Mo Cheeks and whether or not AI gives a shit what he'll say as a coach instead of a pal. Duncan, though, is totally capable of wearing his usual golf shirt and getting fined for it and not caring.

Me too. They go to work for 3-4 hrs/day! Wearing business casual with those hours is gravy. Ride the pine, put on a coat and trousers and earn your $20k+/game check. You can wear whatever you want when you get home to play your fucking video games.

Because of the general behavior, attitude and appearance of the players, yes. You can say its racist, it can piss you off, but like Democrats, and businessmen, you need to learn that what effects the bottom line is what matters. "If it don't make dollars, it don't make sense."

not racist, though the "appearance" thing is still off-putting. Why the fuck should anyone care if they're wearing sweats on the bench? As long as they're not rockin the "AIDS kills fags dead" shirt, I don't care what they're wearing. How much they're making shouldn't really enter the issue, it's up the the coach and the players to make that decision.

I can understand players' behavior and attitude making you not care about the league, shit I really do. but they're appearance? that shouldn't even be a factor.

But see, appearance speaks to attitude and behavior. I don't see man CEOs with tats that mean "soldier" in Chinese or "they baby mama name" on their back.

Although much of this has to do with my personal bias against tattoos and suits with over 3 buttons.
