Strangely, I just recovered my copy from Yail's house. I pre-ordered it, and was all excited, but I guess the negative press (and being drunk for like 5 or 6 months) stopped me from even opening it. Bloor I think got like 100 pages in. I'll give it a shot, cos I really like the way he writes, but I just don't wanna wade through 500 pages only to end up hating the ending.

I'll agree with 'ya on Wolfe's journalism being better than his fiction, but Bonfire did not shit the bed. It was terrific any way you want to look at it.
