You know the drill...

3. What band backed Robert Palmer on his debut album?
4. Name the singer who rehearsed with, and was slated to replace Jim Morrison in, The Doors. He later worked with the LA punk band X. What was the name of this singer's original band?
5. What was the title of Donnie Iris' first hit song, and what was the name of the band that recorded it?
6. While between labels following the collapse of Radar, Elvis Costello released one single that was recalled after a lawsuit by Warner Bros. On what label was this single pressed, and what was the A-side?
7. Similarly, Little Roger and the Goosebumps had an infamous single recalled, what was the single?
8. Why did David Bowie assume a stage name?
9. From what band did Midge Ure join Ultravox, and whom did he replace?
10. Other than Ted Nugent, who provided the vocals on the album "Free For All"?
11. "OMFUG" is an acronym for what?
12. Before fronting Big Country, Stuart Adamson played in what band?
13. Who produced The Ramones' "End Of The Century"?
14. Three notable artists can trace their start to band The Camera Club. Name two.
15. Original Adam And The Ants members Lester Square and Andy Warren both ended up in what band, formed with a former bandmate? What other band was made up predominantly of former Ants members?
16. What artist released the first record for the following labels:
Stiff:
Rough Trade:
Beggars Banquet:
17. What impact did Todd Rundgren have on Alice Cooper?
18. The Bubblemen were the alter-ego of what band?
19. Dick Taylor is credited with re-introducing what two rock and roll legends? He quit their band to form what other band?
20. Who wrote the Beach Boys song "Never Learn Not To Love"?

Ridiculously obscure bonus question:

Jim Kerr, Brian McGee, and Charlie Burchill (Simple Minds) were orginally members of what band (who released one single on the Chiswick label)? What other band emerged from that group?

Scores so far (assuming I can count, which is a stretch):

Radcliffe: 11.3
Dusty Chalk: 10.5
Hedley Lamar: 7
Diggity Dawg: 5
Elvis Fu: 4
PopTodd: 2.3
Finche Platte: 1
Loogar: 1, but not the 1 you'd think he'd get

Radcliffe, my response is stuck in my "Outbox" and won't send for some reason--is your "Inbox" full?

Everyone else, keep 'em coming. The mix that comes out of this will contain the answers.

Got it. Billz, it looks like you forgot to count my answer to # 13. And I only mention it because HideousLump, Psychlone, and FT have yet to play. ;)

I think I counted it in the final tally, but didn't score it in the body of the text. I'm not good at the numbers thing, even though I do math/spreadsheet work for living. Scary inn't :D

You should switch to pharmacology, you'd be very popular.

Submitted my answers.

Is this going to be a regular thing? I have some fiendish trivia I could make a quiz out of. Maybe we can rotate and have a different person do 20 questions each week.

This is definitely the hardest one yet. Most of my answers were more educated guesses than actual knowledge.

The thing I like best about these quizzes is that I learn something new from every one of them!
