I just tried cottage cheese about a week or so ago and now I can't get enough of it in the morning. I dip apple slices into it. Good shit.

Also, believe it or not, I tried guacamole for the first time this year and now I have to have it on a veggie sub or a burrito. It's a must.

Damn, being adventurous taste good!

Anybody else tried something recently for the first time that you feel like everyone in world eats?

I haven't really tried anything new recently, but there isn't much I don't like. I'll eat and enjoy pretty much everything with the exception of white beans and liver.

Kim chee. Got to be eaten with a meal, tho. You can't just grab it out of the fridge and snack.

Asparagus. Used to hate it, now I'm completely obsessed with it and eat it a few times a week.

loads of stuff actually, but nothing exotic. Mushrooms for instance, never could stand them before, now it's a favourite addition to all kinds of meals, especially portobello. Tomatoes are another. I used to hate having them on sandwiches, now I can appreciate the flavour. Similarly, I'd always avoided drinking Caesar's because of the clamato juice. Now if a weekend is wasted if I don't have a couple. Pickles, I'd pick them off a burger if I got them a couple years ago, but now it's an essential.

I think I'm going to have to try cottage cheese again, particularly with apples.

My first thought when seeing the title was cottage cheese. Asparagus is another good one, though.

Umm, yeah you can. The best thing about a gallon jar of kim chee in the fridge is thst thst it can last over a year without going bad, and you can eat it anytime.

=winner.

Artichoke hearts. Never gave 'em a chance as a youth. Enjoy the hell out of them now. Still don't get down with mushrooms, un-cooked tomatoes, celery, crunchy onions, etc etc. We picky.

...I don't like lettuce. Spinach, strangely enough, I like, even when it's not cooked.

Word. Squirrgle is finicky.

I havent overcome any food-hates lately, though I am slowly becoming more accepting of sour cream.

Hey Busty, try cottage cheese with those canned pineapple slices. I'm not really a fan of the cottage now, but I remember loving that combo as a kid.

I think I have some sort of plant/crispy hangup. Celery, raw tomatoes, lettuce, big chunks of crunchy onions, plus that clown / makeup phobia... I have issues.
