That's the NFL. The Chargers went 12-4 last year splitting with Denver & beating Jax (9-7) while racking up 10 wins vs losing teams. And this year Cinci is 5-2 with a schedule that includes a rematch with Pit, KC & Indy after a bye week & not a whole hell of a lot else. They could go 11-5 & grab a playoff spot without 1 single impressive win.

And this gentleman is the plot summary of the NFL Playbook as written by Czar Tagliabue----PARITY THROUGH SCHEDULING: HOW TO WIN A DIVISION ONLY ONE YEAR AFTER FINISHING 4-12

I thought that was a Rozelle thang. Either way, it's one of the main reasons I hate the NFL.

It was Rozelle's dream but never really came to fruition until after free agency in the mid 90's.

I like the parity aspect of the NFL as opposed to Baseball where 8 teams on opening day have NO CHANCE.

I disagree. I love unfairness in sports. That way when a cinderella comes out of nowhere , it's actually exciting.
