Ok, i have $22.25 left in my 2004 music budget and i don't know what to spend it on. i'm looking for ideas. So here's the "contest":

Please post your ordered top 3 of 2004 -- your favorite new albums of this year. Whichever album that's the most "popular" choice of all that i haven't already heard (in its entirety) i will buy, with a minimum of 20 top 3 lists. You can have ties, but try not to. Don't know when i'll end this, but it'll have to be before i go on xmas break, so i guess i'll give this til december 17th, but retain the right to buy early once the minimum of 20 different lists have been achieved.

If you're unclear on any rules, let me know. i'm excited to end the year trying something new. Isn't that what we're all here for? :)

2. Iron & Wine "Our Endless Numbered Days"

seriously, that nick cave is pretty fuckin good. spent the sober half of my weekend listening to that a lot.

i still say 2004 music mostly sucked, so take your cash and buy some old-but-new-to-you stuff.

OK, my first post was much too bitchy for the really stoic mood I'm in today. As such, an attempt at playing along:

01 Wilco - A Ghost is Born
02 The New Year - The End is Near
03 Sonic Youth - Sonic Nurse

I thought so too. But I checked all music and it has it listed as 2004. I was planning on submitting it for your poll, but if I can't get your stamp of approval I must reconsider.

Edit: Assuming it is, here is my list:
1. TV on the Radio - Desperate Youth, Blood Thirsty Babes
2. John Vanderslice - Cellar Door
3. cLOUDDEAD - Ten
