Maybe this will get moved to that ghetto where we're supposed to pimp ourselves, but I'm posting it here in hopes that someone will actually read it.

Riviera is emerging from the studio for three shows in the midwest, including our first Chicago date since July.

Wednesday, November 9 - The Hideout (Chicago)
Our good friends Two Cow Garage had a documentary made about them that perfectly catches what it's like to be an independent, touring musician. The financial lunacy, the emotional highs and lows...Come check out the Chicago debut of the film followed by sets from Riviera and Two Cow.

Friday, November 11 - Points East (Milwaukee)
Riviera opens for one of Milwaukee's coolest bands, Dustworks. We just met these guys and they're great. An odd mix of electronic noise and melody. Good stuff.

Thursday, December 1 - Subterranean (Chicago)
We're headlining a show at what was a brothel at the turn of the century and what is now one of the coolest music venues in Wicker Park. You never know who might get lucky there.

These are likely our last shows of the year. We'll be debuting material from the new album too. Won't you come out?

You may have to beg me first.

Then maybe I'll come.

P.S. I thought that the show on the 1st was at the Beat Kitchen. If not then you should change your mailing list thingy you sent out last night. Cause I"m 90% positive it said Beat Kitchen not SubT.

I'm so far away from indie show action geographically that when I see a thread titled "shows you really shouldn't miss" my brain thinks "Well, 'It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown' is on right now, and that shouldn't be missed."

i'll be at the subterranean show, even though i don't really like that venue. i know the opening band's drummer's dad and he asked me to go last week. seeing riviera's always nice too.
