It was odd. Not typical Aaron Neville performance. Was he having trouble with the mic?

no, that's the thing. it sounded like he was, but it was a combo of his choked back man vibrato w/ him swinging the mic back and forth. then he just sounded like a retarded indian. again, this is not the proper description.
