...for forcing the Astros to open the roof at Minute Maid. It's no excuse for the 5 run 5th or the multiple blown opportunities in the late/extra innings, but my gosh. It's almost feels like he did it out of spite. Die slowly, you infernal idiot.

I agree with you about MLB being WAAAAYYYY out of line by forcing the Astros to keep the roof open. But you can't blame the whole damn game on that.

But yeah, Selig is a fucking pantywaste.

Oh, I'm not blaming that for the loss. That's why I added what I did.

I've pretty much come to the conclusion that I will not waste one more second watching any baseball broadcast from Fox.

A pox on Oswalt for not being able to hold a four-run lead.

A pox on Astacio for completely imploding.

A pox on GARner for not only putting Astacio into the game, but even having him on the playoff roster in the first place.

A pox on Bagwell for not making contact with a pitch since the Clinton administration.

A pox on me for staying up until 1:30 only to suffer through that excruciating final inning.

A pox on the Astros for not being able to take advantage of the breaks they were given, the same way the White Sox have. (That should not have been a home run.)

We, the Milwaukeeans could have told you Tejanos that Phil is worthless, but you wouldn't have listened even had we.

That said, all the talk about him finally getting a chance to manage with real money behind him is a joke. The Tigers, while failing to spend wisely enough, did have a solid payroll during Scrappy's tenure there. He's just a piss-poor manager....

Yes, truth be told, the Astros aren't really losing this series as much as the Sox are winning it. I've got no beef with the MarkClark Nine. They are worthy champions.

I've got no beef with the Sox, either. They've capitalized, the Astros haven't. I've got some sausage with Crede, though, for yelling at Oswalt for getting plunked when it was obviously not intentional.

After witnessing their respective playoff performances at 3B, I would MUCH rather have Crede on the roster than Ensberg...though that double play Ensberg turned right before the Blum HR was bad ass.

That was pretty assholish.

I think that she just doesn't like the en masse consumption of Hater-ade.

he got hit after he hit a home run in his first at bat that same inning. if it was you, wouldn't you think that the first thoughts that go thru your mind is "well, he must have not liked the fact that I took him deep and he gave up the lead"?

Yeah, you're probably right. Y'know the Sox players in the dugout walking around with four fingers in the air after Blum's homer and at the end of the game was completely justified, too. I'd earhole every one of them if I got down in game 4. That's just my first thought, though.

i see reacting to getting nailed with a 98 mph fastball and hitting a dramatic 14th inning homerun as two different yet justifiable emotions.

however, I didn't see the end of the game last night, so I didn't see the 4 finger thing.

No. That wouldn't be my first thought when the count is 1-2, 2 outs, runners on first and second and Oswalt had already taken a 4-1 lead and given up 4 runs to go down 5-4. The pitch got away. Why in the hell would Oswalt put another baserunner on? For Crede to assume it's intentional is assholish.
