How much water did the grounds crew put on the field? You would think they were trying to slow down Maury Wells for god's sake.

Also, Jermaine Dye, KRS-One & Lennox Lewis are all related.

I'm going to bed. I can't take this anymore. I spent the last inning with an issue of newsweek over my head.

We've so fucked this game. I"ll just read what happened when I wake up in the morning.

i can't remember the last time i even considered sleeping before a game was over, but i also can't imagine waking up in the morning and then seeing how it ended. and if everyone else at work watched it, i'd feel like a fool.

Snow & windstorm took out most of my cable stations so I didn't get past the 7th.

Apparently a long-ass game. Sucks to be 'Stro right now.

But, yes: what is the Red Sock Nation angle on this series?

I would think that New England would be pulling for Connecticut native Biggio and Massachusetts (?) native Bagwell to get a WS victory in the year after they saw their home-area nine win it all, but, then again, the 'Stros staff is anchored by two former Yankees, Pettitte and Clemens (the latter also a turncoat).

Meanwhile, the other nine, the Pale Hose, took it to Boston in the ALDS. And, they have erstwhile Yank hurlers of their own: the two-headed Cuban monster of Duque and Contreras.... Then again, a W. Sox victory might take Konerko - Providence, RI, native Konerko - out of the W. Sox price-range, so he could more easily be brought in to fill the void left by the disappearing Millar.

So, what is it?

ESPN is dying to know.

Without a NY (A) or Boston angle to play with in the WS, why even cover it?

Nah, I just like Ozzie. Plus, I think it's cool that R. Sox could sweep one year after not winning since '18 and W. Sox could sweep the next after not winning since '17.
