Yeah, I liked it too.

It's worth seeing simply for David Strathairn's amazing performance. You couldn't find a better person for the role.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to this one. Glad to hear it's good.

Anyone see Capote yet?

not playing anywhere in my area. maybe if enough of you bastards see it AMC will consider it worthwhile to squeeze it inbetween DOOM and SAW II.

I have a 20-screen megaplex in my backyard, so Regal Cinemas occasionally gives movies such as "Good Night & Good Luck" a chance. Don't know what AMC's movie policy is like though. I think if your AMC theater is big enough, they'll bring "Good Night" to you eventually.

I want to see this pretty badly (but I guess not enough to go yet) because I think stuff about McCarthyism and the Blacklist and all that is interesting. One of my favorite movies is The Front with Woody Allen (acting only). It was written by, directed by, and starred (a handful of guys, anyway) people who had all been blacklisted.

Philip Seymour Hoffman is hands down the best actor alive right now. Best film I've seen in quite some time.

Yeah, I've heard great things about PSH's performance in this film---Oscar worthy. Looking forward to seeing this one too.

I liked GN&GL but I wish it had been longer and more focused on Murrow.

Saw this tonight and really enjoyed it. I think Clooney nailed the right tone and pacing for the subject matter. The same theater is playing Capote, so I will see that soon hopefully.

I work at an eighteen-screen AMC, and the closest we have to arts cinema is Elizabethtown, while Green Street Hooligans prolly counts as foreign.

i just watched this, and loved it, but what hurt me the most was knowing that if anyone talked like Murrow on the news today, not only would people not be offended by the events of the day, but they really wouldn't understand him because the words he chose were too big.

Christ, I was about to spout off on this again. I'm like PopTodd or something. Incidentally, this movie is on sale at deepdiscountdvd.com for $6.

That was an excellent movie. Hard to believe that the news was actually like that.

Also one of the smokiest movies I've seen in some time. Recently reformed nic fiends should avoid at all costs.

I saw it yesterday for the first time and it's highly recommended. If you're interested in history & politics you will find it fascinating.
So relevant to what's happening in the world today.
