Yes, according to Dr. Rhino, but these will NOT be available any other way than the damned DualDiscs. Boo. I would happily pay a little extra for separate CDs and DVDs if it means I can actually use them in my computer (because DualDiscs aren't recognized by my 4 month old DVD-writer.)

Rather than start up a new thread, I'll use this one to ask if anybody has purchased Brick and, if so, has opinions there about. It's still over $100 at Amazon, and I have all the released albums already, so mostly I am interested in the new tracks/videos and any included literature before possibly purchasing. The box alone is pretty cool. So any thoughts?

I've seen nothing but good reports about the box and the "new" material. The complaints have all been exactly what I said: DualDiscs SUCK. Why wouldn't they release this as separate CD and DVDs? I can guarantee they'd see higher sales of this set - I KNOW a lot of audiophile types that would have jumped at Talking Heads hi-rez surround-sound stayed away because of the DualDisc nature of this set. I'm questioning whether I want to support the January release of the separate discs - I have the Once in a Lifetime box from 2003. I'd like a few of the albums, but I've successfully stopped myself from buying DualDiscs before - why give in now?

I could have sworn that I saw the Brick at Best Buy for ~$60 a few weeks ago. I considered buying it, but ultimately decided not to because they are DualDiscs.

They won't necessarily play in your player.

I -- just this morning -- put a dual disc into my Sony carousel, and it totally scratched up the surface trying to play it.

I intend on returning it.

That's awesome - because DualDisc is a product of Sony! (Well, not literally awesome, but, like, ironic or something.)
