Nothing hooks me in like a falsetto vocal hook. Love that shit.
Sam Cooke - "Cupid"
Chris Issak - "Wicked Game"
Prince - the end of "Purple Rain"
Any Hank Williams yodelling.

Who else does it really well?
Gimmie some examples.

Love it.

Sparks. It's all about Sparks. Sparks, 'cause Adam Ant is more akin to yodelling.

Good one. As sick of him as I am, his falsetto can still get me.

I also like falsetto from:

Ben Folds

Call it fey, but I'm a sucker for Sufjan's, especially on "John Wayne Gacy, Jr."

Kele (Bloc Party) uses it well on "Banquet," methinks.
Elliott Smith in general.

I have an amazing live version of "Mysterious Ways" from 1992 where they add this whole extended jam at the end with Bono singing in falsetto. Can't even understand what he's saying, but it's awesome.

Thom Savant does a pretty good one.

Check out this song for an example. Shmoo knows of what I speak, no doubt.

Bono & Roy Orbison are pretty much the tops...

Thom who?

Wow, KPH you're such a whore.

Actually, after I posted about Bono and then left my apartment to head to school, I realized I should've mentioned this song too.

Worst example (I love the song, and I love Prince, but...): Kiss (sounds like two cats in heat, fighting...or something...at least that part that you can't understand does...)

Chris Isaak is my favourite from this list -- pure smoov.

Doesn't Ween do falsetto on that Vaseline song?
