I've always been a Leno, not a Letterman, watcher.

Prolly explains a lot.

But I havn't watched either in an age.

She performed the same exact song, "O' Sailor," on Letterman a week or two ago. It sounded better on Letterman. Also, Letterman interviewed her afterwards.

I wouldn't watch Leno even if it were against the law to not watch Leno. Fiona's almost a good enough reason, but not good enough.

I can look past that. Plus, Dave's mom is fairly comic.

... But, I still will never get "Will it float?".

I saw it, I think it's real - I saw the girl on one of his earlier "jaywalking" things. She's dumb as a rock, but in that sweet-you-can't-hate-her kind of way. I watch Leno for his headlines segment every week, Jaywalking things like this, and the occasional man-on-the-street segments with a variety of hosts (the recurring Kevin Smith and Tom Green ones were hilarious.) Leno's prescripted bits absolutely blow, and that's when I switch to Letterman, but his "I'm going to repeat this one line that got a laugh at least 80 more times in the next 20 minutes" thing gets old real quick. I am, however, always excited to see a "Psychic Sandwich" segment with Rupert in the Hello Deli. That, and "Will It Float?"

It wasn't as good as the Letterman performance. Plus, Letterman actually interviewed her and shit.

That's great! You know what else was brilliant? When Dave used to get that Rupert guy to put on the ballcap, glasses and backpack and annoy people. Oh man some of that was GOLD. I fear that it wouldn't be so funny now because it's been imitated by so many... but at the time...

Did they stop doing this because some guy pulled a knife on Rupert?
