So what's your take on this Sunday's game? I personally don't like it. Feels like a trap game.

-I think y'alls D is capable of slowing down our ground game and your ground game could put up some numbers against us.

BUT:

-Who is playing QB for the 'Phins? Gus Ferotte. Pat Kearney and Rod Coleman may send him out of their on a stretcher.

AND:

-Isnt Miami's secondary pretty banged up? Maybe this could be the day that we finally start passing the ball well.

I dunno. Feels like a close, low scoring game.

i've been out of pocket all day...just seeing this now.

i dunno man. i look at this as a must win scenario for miami if they want to salvage this season. 4-4 will keep them in the thick of it, while 3-5 will ruin them IMO. problem is miami hasn't won a BIG game like this in a long while.

our secondary is nicked up big time. but i'm not too worried about vick passing on us too much. and i'm not overly concerned about warrick dunn. the biggest factor is containing vick. i don't know that we have the speed at linebacker to do that.

here's what i think the biggest key to the game is. will miami be playing with a lead or playing catch up? if miami gets a lead (of more than one TD), we can do some damage with ball control/running ricky and ronnie. if we fall behind, we are finished...because gus will die behind that line vs. your D.

one last thought: i watched marcus vick run all over my beloved maryland terrapins a few weeks ago. god isn't cruel enough to let his big bro do it to my dolphins too, is he?

AND...the really fucked up thing is:

i'm playing billz in fantasy football this week. we are both 7-1, battling for first place.

I have warrick dunn. HE has ricky williams.

be concerned. warrick is probably the second best back in the game today.
Zach Thomas, I believe, is leading the league in tackles and yalls run d looks good though so it may be moot kinda like LDT vs. the Eagles two weeks ago.

Mike can be shut down if they can bring the speed off the edge (the Tampa Bay philosophy); also this 5 man front (sort of a 5-3-3) that the Jets ran.

Yeah, early scoring is crucial. The Falcs actually play well from behind because Mike only seems to be comfortable passing in the 2:00 hurry up, but I'd much rather get up 10-14 points and pound the ball with Dunn/Duckett and cripple Ferrotte.

he's listed as "questionable" but he did practice this week and said on the radio yesterday that he'll be playing. we'll see. gotta love the Sledgehammer.

i'm kinda hoping miami can snag your boy matt schaub in the offseason. supposedly, we'll be $25 million under the salary cap.

I saw you mention that a couple of weeks ago. I hope not. We need to keep Schaub even if we have to pay him a little bit because Mike is always gonna miss at least 2 games a year. Kinda like Billy Volick in Tennessee, you need that quality backup when your QB insists on taking insane hits every week.

And speaking of Marcus Vick: Why not draft him if he comes out? He's a hell of a lot better passer than Mike.

Forget Dr. Z. Just call me Dr. Bloor.

Dude, I'm meeting the team plane so I can off Alan Rossum. How do you go from being the best return guy in the game to an utter piece of Garbage in one year?

The Griffith fumble hurt too but that dude got knocked the fuck out---not much you can do at that point. Nice stick.

I thought the Dolphins looked alright though. Biggest weaknesses to me look like the QB and the secondary. If they can get those fixed before Thomas and Taylor get old, they should be in pretty good shape. That O-line impressed me.

i give them each 2, maybe 3 more seasons. could happen.

hard hitting game both ways, although i think the refs were a little too quick to throw the flag on hits on vick.

regardless, we really had no reason being in that game with the way frerotte played, and our awful D on 3rd down situations. congrats on the win.

Yeah, but rules are rules and you and I both know that the league obsessively protects quarterbacks. (i agree its a little chickenshit)

Yeah, the game wasnt as close as the score yadda yadda but I'll take a road win wherever I can get it.

Thanks for the congrats. Now bring on the Packers.
