i'm trying to make a mix for my old college roommmate, but i'm having some trouble. he's a big fan of built to spill, (old) modest mouse, neil young, led zeppelin, my morning jacket, creedence, etc. etc. basically soulful, countrified stuff with excellent guitar work. drop some classic rock goodness (old or new) on me.

check out the new Marah.

764-HERO and Modest Mouse did a split EP or album a few years back, that would be interesting if he hasn't heard it.

Some Wilco off Summerteeth would be nice. Or maybe the brand new stuff I haven't heard yet.

VU's Sweet Jane should be on there too.
