Is anyone else having to re-login every time they check it? I have not changed any browser settings.

Not every time. But every day at least once. They do it as a test if it's been a while.

Aha! I fixed it...apparently I needed to bookmark specifically mail.yahoo.com rather than the specific server/mailbox page
