A good, if semi-overwrought AND simplified yarn about going up in the south with civil rights and music...reccomended to bloor, e-fu, oldbullee and billzebub (few chapters on Jason and the Scorchers)[/img]

I've read lots of Barker's stuff. Some good (Damnation Game), some ridiculous (most everything else). Let me know how this is when you're done.

Loved it. Want to buy the sequel but it's not out in paperback yet.

Started reading it. Wasn't too into it. Returned it to the library. But then I heard more good press later on so I'll have to go back and give it another chance.

Pretty good. The author takes an actual objective view of the presidents and studies their traits and relates it to their managment style and effectiveness as a president. Discusses what each one did well and what each one didn't do well. Each chapter is a different president and he keeps it pretty brief but to the point. Some really good insight into the office.

One of the resason's I started Re-reading Wicked was because I bought the sequel, started reading it and realized I forgot a few things about characters in the first and needed to bone up on it.

Posession: Yeah I started reading it once before, never got far. But then I just watched the movie, and though it wasn't awesome, it was interesting enough to make me want to give the book a second chance.

Historian: It's about the hunt for the real Count Dracula and his existence today. It's set in the 60's and it's this young girl's journey with her father to discover the truth. It's a giant book and at times sleep inducing, but otherwise fascinating.

Well, Historian sounds interesting but I never get around to reading long books. I bought 'Uncle Tom's Cabin' and it's just sat on my shelves as I've consistently passed it by for shorter books.

So Son Of A Witch features or makes reference to quite a few of the characters from Wicked? I was afraid it would be all about her son with very little reference to any of the characters from the first book.

I just finished reading "Hard Boiled Wonderland and The End of the World" by Haruki Murakami and the ending really fucking pissed me off.

Unless you're OPA, anyway.

This is an awesome book, one of the better ones I've read lately. Very funny, it has had me laughing out loud on many occasions. Anyone who has taken a college-level English course should read this...

I really enjoyed the last three of this series. Susannah got a little tedious at times, but this last one more than makes up for it. With my day off tomorrow, I plan on finishing this right off. I'm pretty excited actually, I've been reading this damn series for at least 15 years and can't wait to see how it wraps.
