It can be classic or newer stuff though I think I prefer the older stuff.

Here's what I got so far...

Dead Boys - Ain't It Fun
Rollins Band - Low Self Opinion
X - Sugarlight
The Ramones - Blitzkrieg Bop
Sex Pistols - God Save The Queen
Dead Kennedys - Holiday In Cambodia

...what else?

I am shocked (SHOCKED!) at the lack of Blink-182 on any of these lists. Isn't this supposed to be a PUNK ROCK thread?

It's a great set. A lot of the songs on it are represented by their original single versions, so it's chockful of stuff I hadn't heard before. At first glance, for example, I thought including the Pretenders' "The Wait" was a dull choice, but it's a version of the song that wasn't on their debut album. Plus it's got a Mink Deville song that pre-dates Cabretta (their '77 full length). There's a couple of glaring omissions, but overall it's 4 discs of absolute gold. Buy, beg, borrow, or steal.

That list kicks ass. I'd also add a few like "Pay to Cum" by Bad Brains and "Black and White" by Subhumans (UK), but the inclusion of "Betray" alone gets my attention. That song doesn't get enough props, if you ask me.

sorry, its 550 megabites, way too big for cc. anyway, it would go MUCH faster over bittorent. basically, bittorent is fast enough that it can go as fast as your internet connection. trust me, get the software and reap the benefits.

I know it's all a matter of taste, but just about any other song on "Los Angeles" is better than Sugarlight.
