Yes, I'm lame. The best thing I have going for me on a Saturday night is sitting at home, drinking beer (possibly switching to spirits later) and watching Saturday Night Live. I'm anticipating it to be good, which is always a huge mistake.

My goal tonight is to get so drunk that I sleep until about 11 am tomorrow. Lately I've been waking up at 7 am on Sundays and the 5 hour wait until the Bears game is brutal.

I used to watch MADtv a lot until they fired Josh Meyers.

I haven't watched an entire episode of SNL in years.

I haven't either. After watching it since the early 80s, I actually don't even remember when I stopped. I think it was the late 90s. The oral history of SNL was one of the better books I've read recently.

What's so shocking about MADtv? It's not like I just admitted to having a blog where I write about my favorite 7th Heaven episodes.

Nothing shocking, just horribly unfunny.

i'd much rather watch 24 hours of 7th Heaven than a full episode of Mad TV

And, hey! Didn't Jessica Biel get her start on that show?

I could go for forty-eight episodes consecutive of 7th Heaven as well.

Individual Mad TV performers were great. The show as a whole was not. Will Sasso, Phil Lamarr, Orlando Jones, Debra Wilson -- very funny. The show -- not so funny, especially the past four or five seasons.

the last episode i watched had some retarded NFL player hosting. Tom someone. Brady? Brody? Anyway, i mean the post-1990 SNL girls have always sucked, but DAMN. That was an all-round stinkfest. I lasted about 4 minutes after the intro.
