I started very young.

The Cure – First concert I ever saw.
The Smiths – Three nights in a row including general admission.
The Cure - (1987) A kid stabs himself in-between bands, they were not going to play but only a few people really saw it. They eventually came on and played mainly songs off of the Faith album. One of the most intense shows I have ever witnessed, totally hit the band hard and they let it out through music..
Sonic Youth/Nirvana – (1990) Before Nevermind and they only played with Sonic for about five dates. After the first song Kurt said ”We’re Nirvana and we really don't particularly like heavy metal!" During "Love Buzz," Kurt jumped into the audience and allowed members of the crowd to play his guitar as I thought this guy was insane and trashed the stage afterwards. The audience was so blown away that everyone was just dumbfounded and that place had a buzz. I knew I just witnessed something extraordinary and bought Nevermind the day of release because of that show.
Nirvana- (Dec 30, 1993) It was the third from the last show Nirvana were ever to play in the U.S. Powerful show and very different from that other time.
808 State – (1991) At the Spruce Goose Dome which was the strangest place to see a show. Turned into a Rave afterwards and they were playing a Batman movie on the Goose about a month before it was released in theaters, it was one of those only in Los Angeles things.
My Bloody Valentine - (1992)There only U.S. tour and saw them two out of the three nights at the Roxy.
Verve – (1993) Second show they ever played in the U.S., then again late this same year.
Lush/Weezer – (1994) At Prince’s cheesy club, only show I saw there, where I had no idea who Weezer were. Lush’s truck broke down so we had to come back the next night and saw Weezer again.
Oasis – (1994) At the Whiskey and I believe it was their third show ever in the U.S., people like Madonna were there. Definitely Maybe was only like two weeks old.
Rollercoaster – (1992) Featuring Mary Chain, Spiritualized, Curve and Medicine. The thing that happened at this show was Spiritualized recorded their live album Fucked Up Inside at this show. It was a mail order only release but proved so popular that it finally came out in stores.

Not including stuff like Blur/Pulp, Sugar/Boo Radleys, Soundgarden/Swervedriver, Echo/New Order/Gene Loves Jezebel, Primal Scream (also once with Depeche Mode), Stone Roses and countless others but those were just shows. That is enough and won’t get into my San Francisco days. I don’t think that many events happened there so not going to even look because I’m done.

The name change show? I don't rightly know. It might've been the first Plan night at Great Scott, sometime in May '03.

New name/avatar change on the way!

oh, and i saw the dismemberment plan in some room in a syrian community center as an opener for a friend's band. (actually, another friend's band played before them too.) the power was out for an hour and we all just sat around and talked. it was pretty cool that way, except that i had to go home halfway through d-plan's set and didn't even get to see my friend's band.

One more show -- Sigur Ros on their first US tour at the John Anson Ford Theatre. Small outdoor venue with police helicopters flying about. One of the best shows EVER!
