in all seriousness, how do you see them finishing out the year?
you can't be totally comfortable with the way orton is playing at QB vs. the panthers, falcons, bucs, steelers.
against these teams, orton WILL have to throw the ball. even vs. the vikings, who are suddenly able to put up points.

The same Buccaneers that lost to San Francisco?

yes, the same bucs that lost to the same san francisco 49er's that should have beat your bears if you take away a freak (yet awesome) play.

Let's see, final score 17-9

take away 7

hmmm

Oh and I'll say it right now: The Bears could most definitely beat the Falcs. Outside in the cold at Chicago, good defense versus a Dome team.

For me it will be interesting because those are pretty much playoff conditions.

I think we will win but I predict an ugly, ugly game.

Look, they are going to win the division. They are not even going to have a losing record in doing so. They could lose 85-0 to the Falcons in the playoffs and I'll wear a smile on my face because they still will have exceeded expectations after Grossman went down.

way to celebrate mediocrity, peggy.

The Falcons, Steelers and Panthers will all probably beat the Bears by 7+ points. Might even be 14. But the other four game are against teams that are in my opinion worse than the Bears. I'm not exactly intimidated by Chris Simms

After the Bears lose their quarterback in week 2 of the preseason and have to go with a rookie for the year, everybody cried they would only win 2 games.

It takes devotion, research and overlooking your business dealings for a few months, but in the end it is well worth it.

Ans Spade, if the Falcs are favored by 7+ (I doubt they will be, more like 5), I'd take the Bears all day.

I can't wait to see how the Bears D defends us. It interests me every week. Some teams (even good defensive teams like the Panthers) just can't figure it out, but some (always Tampa but usually Philly) just give us fits.

The line will probably be between 3 and 4, considering what happened to the falcs today

Yeah, that's about right although today probably has less to do with how the line will be made for that game than you might think.

I fucking knew that we were going to lose either the Dolphins or Packers games. This team and the Bulldawgs are so frustratingly inconsistent that I want to throw some fucking furniture Its bulshit that we have to play both Carolina and TB twice in the second half of the season this year as well. And I am going to kill Alan Rossum.[/rant]

Not a good football weekend down here, folks. Not good at all.

I'm just saying the Bears haven't had THAT easy of a schedule when compared to, say, any team in the NFC.

Its not, but thanks for the sentiment.

I also have a massive hangover that is not helping my sour mood.

Touchdowns usually do.

I love the Spade hate because everyone just cries and says "YOU SUCK I HATE YOU" everytime he brings up a good point.

* we try to keep it to one thread a week per sport

there's at least 3 threads about the bears on the first page.

also, people have mentioned other teams in threads not specific to that team, peggy.
