The most recent system I have is the Dreamcast. Like others here, the "get an entire gaming library for free" thing sold me on it.

Some great games on it, such as the original (and best) Soul Calibur, Jet Grind Radio, Shenmue, Shenmue II (with the good voices), Power Stone 2, MvsC 2, Ikaruga, Guilty Gear, Vampire Chronicle, Rez, MDK2, and for some reason I really liked Space Channel 5 part 2

A few years ago you would have had yourself a worthy opponent in me. Now, I'm not so sure.

Is it still the best? I've never played the later versions. The original was always fine with me, & I didn't have to shell out $200+ to play it.

Nice to see the Dreamcast love here...it was really a machine ahead of its time, IMO.

Halo's inferiority to 64 games such as Perfect Dark and Goldeneye has caused me to boycott any game console Microsoft produces henceforth.

I used to be like Lance Guest in The Last Starfighter but haven't played many video games in the past 20 years. My son thinks I'd be awesome at them.

So how many 360s do you think a good sized Best Buy is going to have next Tuesday? I didn't pre-order and I'm thinking of maybe blowing off work to get one next Tuesday morning. Would I even have a chance??

    Likely none. http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/666/666229p1.html

I probably won't get a 360 until they come out with a decent mod chip for it. It has all the makings of a great media centre, but since I play PC games almost exclusively I can't see myself shelling out hundreds of dollars for one right now.

Actually, Best Buy does not do preorders so SOME people will likely be able to walk in off of the street(after waiting in a long assed line) and buy one.....I've got NO idea how many units each store will be receiving though - so you would probably want to get in line early.......I would have to say that I would HOPE that a good sized Best Buy would have upwards of 500 of them(becuase I can see a line AT LEAST that long outside of most stores) but that is an awful lot of units.....so we'll see - As much as I'd like to get one right away I'm a step away from buying my dream PC so I've go the 360 on the backburner for right now.

If anyone has a PS2 don't bother renting Shadow Of Rome. The fighting parts are decent (think Onimusha) but the stealth aspect of the game is ass.

It's like those tycoon games, except it actually doesn't suck, and you can edit/write your own movie scripts, etc.

I'm making a movie called Vampires with AIDS currently.

it's only the 30s though, so I don't have any vampire costumes and AIDS doesn't exist.
