and did you read that the reason for Fred Miller's broken jaw is not because of a fall at home, but because Kreutz punched him ni the face?

Here's what this whole thread comes down to: THERE ARE NO GOOD TEAMS IN THE NFL THIS SEASON. Pretty much any team can beat any other team on any given day. Especially in the NFC. It just depends on which team sucks less that day.

What game are you getting (since the best team in North America isn't playing this weekend)?

I got stuck watching the Minnesota / NY game.

It's funny.
I didn't get to watch the game, but I happened to tune in right at the last minute of the first half and I saw that amazing play.

Unreal.

That was a lot of fun.

This is probably the prime reason I dislike the NFL. Stupid parity bullshit.

It would have been more fun had the sideline cameras gotten footage of the comfort women on the Vikes's sidelines "applying Icy-Hot to the players between series".

I wasn't paying that close attention to it...

I was putting up some shelves and a clothes rod in one of our closets.

I did see all 3 big return plays though. Pretty unbelieveable.
Other than that Chris Simms looks like a pansy.

Colts, Bengals and Panthers are relatively elite teams

They seem to be pretty highly regarded by the national media (#2 or 3 in most Power Rankings) though I have only seen them in highlights. I'm with you on Plummer---that dude is a team killer but it seems like they have roped him in some. They run the ball and play defense well enough so that if he just doesnt make mistakes, they could go pretty far.

I feel as though Denver is always a mystery because they historically play inconsistently on the road, especially on the east coast. 5-0 at home, a mere 2-2 on the road. They have to go anywhere in the playoffs, they will probably lose, especially a place like Indianapolis where whether will NOT be a factor.

My Seahawks are on their way to adding themselves to this list - we've got to get past the niners next week in San Fran and then we play the Giants and the Eagles back to back - I honestly wish both teams were doing better so that we could get more recognition if and when we beat them. If we can get past those games then the next huge game on our schedule is here against the Colts on X-mas eve. Unfortunately both teams may have clinched by then so the game might not matter enough for both teams to play their starters the whole game.

PS. Panthers are over-rated at this point and time - they are good, don't get me wrong, but with the exception of the Patriots they haven't beat anybody who is that good this season yet - and their schedule gets a LOT tougher in the next month and a half. They have really poured it on the last few games though, so maybe they are hitting their stride - I might be eating my words in January.

I don't think I will ever be sold on the Seahawks.

You don't have to be sold on them.....but if we can get home field advantage throughout the playoffs by winning the games we are supposed to in the next month and a half as well as at least one that people aren't thinking we will win(the Giants game or the Eagles game perhaps) then you will have to deal with the fact that they will probably be going deep into the playoffs - because nobody in the NFL has been better at home in the last few years than the Hawks have.....

Fair enough, but playing the Rams, Cardinals and Niners twice will fatten the record up like a christmas goose. While I'm certain they have an elite running backr, I'm also certain I'm not sold on their quarterback or their defense nearly as much.

lol, every time that I try to tell people that the Rams, Cardinals and Niners aren't as bad as their record might indicate the Cards lose a game like they lost to the Lions yesterday, the Rams literally steal a game from a downtrodden Saints team and the niners get killed by the Redskins. But I know what you are saying Spade - at least this year I can say that we are making sure to get those wins :)

Say what you want about Hasslebeck - he certainly has a lot to prove to skeptics and needs to step up in some upcoming big games- but he's a very talented player who has been to a pro-bowl and our West Coast Offense definitely plays to his strengths - He would have at least 4 less interceptions this season were it not for unfortunate bounces off of players who were trying to make difficult catches only to have the ball bounce off them into the air and into a defender's hands(I realize this is a fact of life, just am trying to give a little perspective).

The Defense is beginning to show that it legit as well - we held an explosive Atlanta offense to a minimal amount of yardage early in the game until we went into Prevent at the end of the game and let Vick get loose for a long run. Total Yards wise on defense we are only 16th in the league, but somehow we manage to hold teams in the red zone to FG's and those rank towards the top of the league in points per game allowed. Kind of a bend but don't break thing.

Believe me guys, I completely understand your skepticism - the Hawks have burned people(including me) in the past with showing flashes of brilliance - the difference this year seems to be that we got rid of some locker room cancers and brought in a number of high character, hard working guys.

Have the Seahawks ever won a playoff game?

Yes, it's a serious question.

Yes - but not in a LONG time....I believe we are 3-7 in the playoffs without a win in the last 20 years(we went to the AFC championship in 1983 and won a wild card game in 1984)

It should be noted that we had a shot at winning both the playoff game in Green Bay 2 years ago and the Rams game last year, but at the same time I realize that this isn't curling or horseshoes and that being close doesn't count for squat :(

Hopefully we can get the playoff monkeyImage off of our back this year.
